Why Interoperability Failed

Why Interoperability Failed

Interoperability was supposed to unify Web3.
Instead, it produced a larger surface of asynchronous dependencies.

Bridges, relayers, messaging protocols, and wrapped representations created connectivity between isolated chains, but they did not create synchronized state.

A message can move between networks without aligning:

  • liquidity;

  • finality;

  • ordering;

  • execution conditions.

A bridge can transfer representation without making two blockchain environments behave as one deterministic system.

Message passing is not synchronized state.
Interoperability is not deterministic infrastructure.

Each chain remains its own isolated state machine, with independent:

  • consensus;

  • finality;

  • mempool behavior;

  • liquidity conditions;

  • execution rules.

Current interoperability architectures attempt to coordinate these systems externally, using relayers, bridges, routers, and solvers as operational glue.

That glue introduces:

  1. latency;

  2. trust assumptions;

  3. state inconsistency;

  4. intermediary control.

The market has mistaken movement for coordination.

Moving information or assets across fragmented domains does not solve the transaction problem if the final outcome remains probabilistic.

Connectivity without synchronized state is not infrastructure. It is transport.

Rokz Protocol reframes interoperability as state synchronization.

Through Rokz Clients, Rokz:

  1. verifies blockchain state;

  2. synchronizes conditions across incompatible networks;

  3. preserves private transaction processing;

  4. coordinates deterministic native execution;

  5. removes reliance on bridges and messaging layers as the core primitive.

Rokz is not another interoperability tool.
It is deterministic coordination infrastructure for environments that were never designed to coordinate natively.
